Black Mountain Chocolate, North Carolina’s original bean-to-bar chocolate workshop, was expanding their business to a full Chocolate Bar that transitions from day to night. This new retail space needed to fully embody Southern Appalachian hospitality within the urban, factory context of the Innovation Quarter. Craftsman flair, primary materials of wood and metal, and accent colors of orange, plum, and blue were carefully arranged to bridge the two aesthetics. The elevated experience of sight, smell, and taste is accompanied by warm finishes, plush upholstery, and atmospheric lighting.
